– Linkin Park are getting in on the Carpool Karaoke craze, teaming up with The Hangover and Dr. Ken actor Ken Jeong for the Apple spinoff series. See the tweets teasing the appearance here and here. An air date has not been announced.

 

– In This Moment have recorded a cover of the Phil Collins classic “In the Air Tonight” for their new album Ritual, due this Friday (July 21). 

 

– Who says metal can’t be cute?! Watch as Metallica welcome a young girl named Kendalynn to the stage in Detroit to play drums a bit just ahead of the band’s performance of “Search and Destroy.” 

 

– Josh Todd loves the “f-word,” and that continues with his new band Josh Todd & the Conflict.

 

– Turn it up and crank it. Hinder are rocking it out with the title track of their new album The Reign.

 

– Rex Brown recently performed an acoustic cover of the Neil Young classic “The Needle and the Damage Done” for Paste Magazine. 

 

– Wayland will release their debut full-length disc, Rinse & Repeat, on Sept. 22 through Mighty Loud / In Grooves. Watch the lyric video for “Through the Fire” here and pre-order bundles are available at this location.

 

– Queen have confirmed that their long-awaited biopic is happening and that Mr. Robot star Rami Malek will portray Freddie Mercury. Bryan Singer will direct Bohemian Rhapsody The Film.

 

– Shattered Sun are off the races with a highly energetic new song and video for “Hollow Chains.”

 

– You’re not seeing double (or triple). The Melvins‘ Dale Crover took inspiration from Paul McCartney’s “Coming Up” video for his new clip “Bad Move,” seen here. The Fickle Finger of Fate solo album is due Aug. 4.
