Vote for the Best Vocalist – 2017 Loudwire Music Awards

Listen up! While the music may draw you in, it’s the voice that may make or break whether or not you love a song! Make your voice hear by voting for the Best Vocalist, presented by Fearless Records, in the 2017 Loudwire Music Awards.

Prior to his tragic passing, Linkin Park‘s Chester Bennington had one of the most powerful voices in rock. His vocals shone through once again expressing an array of emotions on the band’s One More Light album.

In This Moment‘s Maria Brink has emerged as one of the more distinctive voices in rock, with a truly expressive set of pipes. This year she was able to put her rasp to work with some bluesy substance in the hit single “Oh Lord,” while still delivering a balance of power and melody within the Ritual album.

When it comes to the concert stage, there are few who compare to the power emitted by Iron Maiden‘s Bruce Dickinson. And with Maiden in full tour mode this year, fans got to see the legendary singer belt with a power and range during the high energy sets that few can replicate.

Speaking of power, there may be no more commanding voice on the airwaves than these days than Alter Bridge‘s Myles Kennedy. The singer had a chance to uplift with “My Champion” and drive his point home with “Show Me a Leader” off the band’s The Last Hero album. Kennedy always makes you take notice.

Royal Thunder‘s MLNY Parsonz is one voice that should be on everyone’s radar. Her soulful, Joplin-esque vibe can express the most vulnerable heartbreak one moment, but she has the range to blow you out of the water with raw energy the next. Parsonz’ work on the WICK album is just masterful.

And after showing his heavier side with Slipknot last year, Corey Taylor switched gears to Stone Sour where he was able to showcase a more rock-oriented sound. Hard rock, heavy, melodic … Taylor showed the ability to handle anything thrown at him on the Hydrograd disc.
