Rumors: Linkin Park on next edition of Download Festival

It seems early bird tickets to next year's Download Festival have now completely sold out.

The metal and alternative rock festival, now in its 14th year, will return to Donington Park, Leicestershire from Friday 10 - Sunday 12 June 2016. Early bird tickets were to be offered at a lower price until Friday 30 October but tickets have been taken off sale early.

Download Festival early bird tickets were priced as follows:

Weekend arena only: £160 + booking fees
Weekend + 3 nights camping (standard or quiet): £185 + booking fees
Weekend + 5 nights’ camping (standard or quiet): £195 + booking fees

General release Download Festival tickets are expected to go on sale within the next month and will increase in price from the early bird rates.

No bands have been announced for Download 2016 yet, although Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon, and Placebo are all hotly-rumoured. The first line-up announcement for Download 2016 is expected within the next fortnight.

Muse, Slipknot and KISS headlined this year’s event, with Judas Priest, Faith No More, Motley Crue, Marilyn Manson, Slash, and Enter Shikari also featuring on the line-up.
