The White Feather Foundation help people in Nepal

The White Feather Foundation,created by Julian Lennon, made a big donation to Music For Relief for support people in Nepal.

About the foundation

The White Feather Foundation – headed by Julian Lennon with a goal to address environmental and humanitarian issues and in conjunction with partners from around the world helps raise funds for the betterment of all life. The White Feather Foundation has been recognised by Prince Albert II of Monaco who honoured the Foundation with the ‘Better World Environmental Award’ in 2008.


The foundation has already funded and completed important projects relieving poverty and distress in Kenya, in the Amazon Basin, in Sri Lanka, in Peru and in Gambia as well as funding ecological projects in England. It has assisted the Amazon Conservation Team by funding a shaman school promoting native Amazonian spirituality and it’s central message of living in harmony with the natural environment. In addition to this, Julian Lennon’s White Feather Foundation, dedicated to the betterment of life, has contributed $100,000 to Music for Relief’s Nepal aid fund. At the onset of the earthquake crisis, Julian launched a funding campaign through his Foundation via his social media platforms, including personally matching each donation. Music for Relief has been active in providing immediate aid since the devastating magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck on April 25. Funds raised are used to enable our partners on the ground to provide food, water, shelter, sanitation solutions, and to develop long-term recovery plans.
